Our scientific impact

Sage Bionetworks researchers publish their work in leading journals and most research projects are intensive collaborations with clinical, public health and molecular researchers in leading academic and commercial organizations.

Sage Bionetworks is also working with Science Commons and an expanding set of US and international strategic partners to develop the Sage Bionetworks Commons. This ambitious three-to-five year undertaking will establish a new paradigm for sharing, analyzing, and comparing genetic and clinical datasets as well as for the creation of predictive disease models for applications in drug development and basic research.

Sage Bionetworks leases office space in the Arnold Public Health Sciences Building of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (FHCRC). The 372,000 sq ft office, laboratory and clinic building houses over 775 staff and features excellent research and conference resources. Sage Bionetworks staff hold affiliate positions at FHCRC, which facilitates research collaborations and career development. The FHCRC campus is located in the South Lake Union neighborhood of Seattle, a thriving tech center just two miles south of the University of Washington campus.

Powerful resources

Sage Bionetworks has an outstanding computational facility comprised of a 5,488 CPU core Linux cluster with over 40TB of online data storage capacity to handle the computationally intensive modeling associated with the creation and analysis of integrated datasets and tools.
